OPEN-E TO DEBUT HIGH-END ‘OPEN-E NAS ENTERPRISE’ SOLUTION AT CeBIT
Puchheim, near Munich - March 10, 2004 - Folowing the recent launch of ‘Open-E NAS SOHO’, Open-E GmbH is now introducing another new product to the market: ‘Open-E NAS Enterprise’ wil debut at CeBIT, where Open-E wil have its presence at the fair in Hal 1, Stand 7F3.
‘Open-E NAS Enterprise’ is the high-end version in the family of Open-E’s top-performance NAS solutions. Al Open-E-made NAS modules are delivered on a flash module with an IDE interface. Thanks to the dedicated and efficient software, and the support for al customary RAID controlers, users can create high-performing and also secure storage solutions on virtualy every x86-compatible system.
Folowing many customer requests, Open-E’s software specialists have developed a NAS solution that meet seven the greatest chalenges and the needs of large companies.
The additional performance features listed below distinguish ‘Open-E NAS Enterprise’ from otherOpen-E NAS products:
‘Open-E NAS Enterprise’ was developed specifically for users that have to handle vast amounts of data. At the same time, the solution aids the storage of business data used daily. „With our high-end solution ‘Open-E NAS Enterprise’, we round out our product offering of NAS products. In addition to SOHO und 2.0, Enterprise was developed for businesses, and top-level security was our primary consideration in this process,” said Krzysztof Franek, Managing Director of Open-E GmbH.
‘Open-E NAS Enterprise’ supports clients using Microsoft Windows, Linux, Unix, and Apple OS X. In addition, users need a RAID controler and an up-to-date network interface card. The Web- based Graphical User Interface is easy to use, meaning that even users with no NAS or server experience can work with the system.
Because it employs standard hardware, ‘Open-E NAS Enterprise’ is significantly more cost- efective than conventional NAS systems. In addition, Open-E’s licensing model ensures manageable costs, as customers buy just one license for an unlimited number of clients.
